Majestic and Baronial Gilt Antique Frame for Painting or Mirror

This is one of the best of a large collection of frames I bought from a New York artist's estate back in the early 1990s. Back then, I bought frames, not to sell but to have handy when I had a painting that needed something magnificent. Alas, I never had a painting that fit, but perhaps you do. The rabbet is 39 3/8" x 51 3/8". It could be routed to accommodate a slightly larger work or fit with a liner for a slightly smaller. If you are an artist, you could possibly make your canvas to size. Then of course there is the option of simply putting a mirror in to produce a spectacular accent for your decor. Outside dimensions are approximately 53" x 65". The model is 5' 8" tall. The photo with her may give you a feel for the sizable grandeur of this wonderful frame.
Keep in mind this is an antique. It has been bumped a few times over the last one hundred and fifty years and it has some old repairs which I feel look worse in the photos than they do live. If you don't notice them in the pictures, you are not likely to notice them ever. But if you want perfect, I advise you to buy something new.
