Charlotte Smith Douglas, a Rhode Island artist, specialized in landscapes. She exhibited at the Providence Art Club. When I found this little painting, I bought another one by her that seemed to be painted at near the same time. It was dated 1938. The colors are nice and bright, and you really get a feel for the farm. I think this would make a nice kitchen painting, but I've had it in a bedroom for years. Oil on Canvas 16" x 20". Outside frame dimensions are 20" x 24".
