Description

This impressive carved Hongmu wood altar table is over 200 years old and has been treated with care. It is sturdy for its age and surprisingly heavy. I have treasured it for over forty years, and it is time to pass it on for someone else to enjoy.

Chinese altar tables were used as altars in wealthy family homes for ancestor worship and can often be found to have incense burn marks on the surface. The stained area on the top of this one was there when I found it. I have done nothing to alter what I believe to be the rich original finish. It stands 41" high 82" in length and 18' wide, making it easy to find a place in a hall, behind a sofa, as a TV table or perhaps something close to its original purpose.

 Buyer may pick up or I will arrange an independent hauler. Buyer to pay a flat rate of $250 for shipping.
