Antique Carved and Gilded "Raphael" Frame 15 1/2" Diameter Opening

Description
A hand carved and gilded 18th to early 19th century Italian tondo frame modeled after the frame holding Raphael's Madonna della Seggiola or Madonna della Sedia which is in the Palazzo Pitti in Florence. (see last photo-not included in lot) The opening is a 15 1/2" diameter but note the photo of the back. Items of various shapes and sizes can be fitted inside this magnificent frame. Photos were taken outside to show how this beauty gleams. Note that there are age cracks and small areas where the bole shows through, and some tarnishing. Outside dimensions are 32" x 27" with a 3" depth.
