Authentic Art Deco Watercolor Polyptych of Sensuous Bathers c. 1920s
Description
This is a magnificent work from the Art Deco period in estate condition. The watercolors are in excellent shape with no spotting or damage. When closed, it presents as a Renaissance style framed mirror. When opened, the two bathers on the wings are under glass. The bathers in central panels are not. There is some discoloration to the mirrors and the frame has minor nicks and bumps as you would expect with an item 100 years old. The wire hanger is as found. I would recommend the buyer mount to the wall in a more permanent manner. The dimensions are 20 1/2" h x 18 1/2" w closed. 20 1/2" h x 37' w opened. The depth is about 1 3/4" to 2 1/2" at different points. Each panel is approximately 13" h x 9" w.
