Egyptian Revival Mystical and Enchanting Royal Bonn Vase c. 1910
Description
I have dealt in paintings on canvas for over forty years with a few sculptures here and there. German porcelain is not my subject at all. But when I found this vase, I was so mesmerized I could not leave it behind. I tried to talk myself out of it. "John, you don't know the slightest thing about vases." True, but I do know a little about art and quality of design. Just look at Cleopatra with her snake crown and the pyramids on the back. Just super cool. 21" tall and about 8 1/2" wide at the widest part. There is an old professional-looking repair to the lip which I think is more easily detected on the inside. See last two photos.
So, I plunged. I haven't marked it up much because I know I shouldn't put precious inventory money into things just because I love them. So, if you love it too, you can have it for just a little above my cost.
