Inspired by the immortal quote from Omar Khayyam's Rubaiyat, this beautiful hand-made work of inlaid marquetry is exquisitely crafted and visually provocative. A wonderful expression of love between a man and a woman. I'm not sure of the age, but it is almost certainly Asian in make and from around the mid-twentieth century. All the pictorial elements have been inlaid in a solid mahogany or hongmu panel. Outside dimensions are 12" x 16 1/2". Add a touch of exotic romance to any room in the house (Perhaps the boudoir!) with this poetic work of masterful artisanship.
