What can I say? This piece is a truly magnificent, museum-quality sculpture. I was awestruck when I first saw it and the effect has not worn off. I have seen a few other carvings by Smith, all of them great, but this one blows them all away. Intricately carved and set on a beautiful piece of driftwood. Del Smith lived and worked in Oregon and is widely known for his hand-carved birds. Signed and dated 1997. 20" x 10" x 10".
