The Valentine - 19th Century Oil on Metal Plate - Americana
$995.00 USD
Description
Would you believe we found this on Valentines Day? Well, we did, nineteen years ago in a little shop in Reynolda Village Near Wake Forest University. I couldn't believe my eyes. We have cherished it all these years. But now my wife and I are amicably split, and though it pains me a little, it's time to let this go, so someone else can have as romantic a moment as we did back in 1995.
I really love the face of the little man in the window as he watches his beloved open his card. The frame is gorgeous and very showy as befits the day of love.
Oil on metal, circa 1860, signed with a mark, lower left. 12" x 9". The outside frame dimensions are 18" x 15". FREE SHIPPING
